In the spirit of giving your free time to benefit others, we hope that if you choose to volunteer at the cube, you might also enjoy yourself! A lot of research recently has suggested that volunteering can help you make friends, learn new skills, advance your career and …even help to make you feel happier and healthier.

With ever busier lives it can be difficult to volunteer, however it can provide a number of interesting benefits as well as providing vital help to the community. Over the next few months I will be returning to these benefits so look out for them, as well as profiles of some of our wonderful current volunteers and suggestions as to what volunteer roles may be of interest to you.

This month at the Cube, we have been getting to grips with the new reception area. Volunteers have generously, given their time, ideas and support to help develop this area into a welcoming space where visitors can get information, book rooms or just say hello!

As the Cube becomes even busier, we would welcome new volunteers who could offer support with various administrative roles, such as photocopying, updating notice boards, helping with enquiries, showing people to rooms and saying hello to new visitors. We are also looking for people to support Neil and the Care Taking team, with help to set out rooms and general maintenance tasks. You can be assured that you will be well prepared and supported.
