About us

Malvern Cube is a youth and community centre, run by Malvern Youth and Community Trust (MYCT), Registered Charity Number 1166088.  In our decision making and daily operation we are guided by a set of core values that shape the way we do things.  We aim to be responsive to community need, accessible, inclusive, affordable, ethical, diverse and sustainable.  The post of Centre Manager is a fantastic opportunity for someone who embraces our ethos and has the drive, passion, experience and vision to take Malvern Cube into the next chapter of its adventure.

Malvern Cube has grown enormously since it opened in 2012 and is now an exciting space for the community and young people of Malvern.  We have strong environmental credentials and use solar power to help an older building meet modern standards of sustainability.  We hire rooms to individuals, groups and clubs for educational, social and therapeutic means and our clientele are aged from 0 – 100!  We estimate our annual footfall to be approximately 3000, (and growing!) and we have over 50 classes and activities running each week.  There is a regular youth club with Youth Café run from the Centre, our theatre space is well used by a variety of both well known and amateur performers and we are home to Reaction Theatre Makers, a unique and talented theatre company, who work with abled and differently abled adults and people with learning disabilities, (visit www.reactiontheatremakers.com).

We are proud of our in-house cafe, The Garden Cafe, which prepares nutritious and delicious food fresh on site every weekday, using ingredients which are locally sourced, including fruits, salads, herbs and vegetables picked from our own community garden.

Vacancy for a Café Manager at the Garden Café, Malvern Cube

Are you an experienced cook, passionate about good food and creating a friendly, welcoming and inclusive community Café?  If so, Malvern Cube has an exciting opportunity for you!

We are seeking a Café Manager who embraces our values to lead our wonderful Garden Café into its next chapter.  Lead a small, friendly and committed team of workers and volunteers to ensure our customers have the best experience when they visit the Garden Café at Malvern Cube.

The role is to work 30 hours a week, Monday-Friday, exact hours to be confirmed.  Opportunities for evening and weekend work may develop subject to sustainable funding.
