Over the next few weeks here at The Cube we host everything from the Poet Laureate, to out-door family activities, through to Chris Difford from Squeeze; all alongside our regular groups!
Carol Ann Duffy – The Poet Laureate:
This Friday May the 5th Carol Ann Duffy, the Poet Laureate, comes to The Cube. the evening is presented together with our friends from Malvern Book Cooperative. The evening of poetry will be enhanced by Duffy’s accomplished musical companion. Its set to be a fabulous evening for both those who appreciate poetry and those currently studying. For that reason there’s an adult and a student ticket price available. At the time of writing 3/4 of the tickets have gone so do get your tickets as soon as possible to avoid disappointment via www.MalvernCube.com
Marvellously Muddy Mondays:
Outdoor creative fun for 5-9 year olds accompanied by their families is on offer with our “Marvellously Muddy Mondays”. Price includes one/two adults and their associated children…up to four children with the grown-ups. Come along and enjoy outdoor activities from story telling around the camp fire, wild cooking – simple bites cooked over the fire, creations from sticks and leaves and things we find in the grounds of The Malvern Cube and enjoy time and space together in the fresh air! You can book for either five or ten sessions of your choice, see details again via the website.
Chris Difford – from Squeeze:
Chris Difford is a rare breed. As a member of one of London’s best-loved bands, the Squeeze co-founder has made a lasting contribution to English music with hits such as ‘Cool For Cats’, ‘Up The Junction’, ‘Labelled With Love’, ‘Hourglass’ and ‘Tempted’.
Despite the fact that Chris has helped soundtrack so many fans’ lives since his first release in 1977, the passion for innovation and love of playing still drives him to carry on writing rather than sit back and admire his handywork. Chris recently celebrated his 60th birthday and for 41 of those years he has been writing with Glenn Tilbrook, very much the Odd Couple. When Squeeze take a break from the road, Chris comes out to play! Tickets from the cube website or Malvern Tourist Information Office.

We’re also proud to host a number of support groups here, for those with various challenges in life. These independent organisation hire rooms in the cube to provide help to those in the community. If you do know someone in need it might be worth asking their supporting organisation whether they hold meetings locally at the cube in case they can help.
